Therapeutic Yoga

All Levels. In Therapeutic Yoga we work slowly and deeply to unravel the body and release a lifetime of long held tension through a combination of Yin Yoga, a style of yoga where postures can be held for long periods of time, and Yoga Therapy to target problem areas of the body and alleviate pain.

Therapeutic Yoga is suitable for complete beginners, individuals with injuries, hip replacements, tissue scaring, frozen shoulders, mental health problems, and also for athletes & experienced yogis looking to supplement their practice.

A well rounded and strong practice that calls upon your attention, intention and curiosity. Expect a continuous flow that puts you though your paces.

Flow through sun salutations, creative variations of postures, take flight with arm balances, and get up-side down.

Then bring it down to the mat to relax and release. Leave feeling empowered, de-stressed from your week and set up for the weekend!

Everything you learn on your mat is a metaphor for life. A flexible body creates a flexible mind. Strength creates a strong mind. Energy creates energy.

I encourage anyone who hasn’t tried Yoga, to try it. The feeling your left with after a class is unlike any other fitness class.

My main goal is to bring Yoga to everyone, and to make my classes accessible to all.

In fact, you never forget the first time you are touched by yoga. After the first class I attended, many years ago, as a stressed out new Mum, I remember leaving feeling like I was walking on air, and a foot taller.

Many people come to yoga to increase their flexibility, but discover that the mental benefits far out way the physical. 

And many people are put off by yoga because they feel they’re “not flexible enough”. All the more reason to get on your mat!

A regular yoga practice is just that: practice. Learning takes time, repetition and commitment. We can never expect to know everything. Yoga is a beautiful lifetime journey with no end and no one to compete against.
